  @mrpppoppp1 His stack size at that point was 4x the pot, he was short on chips basically and thats a good spot to stick it in when your down that much, he had an up & down straight draw with top pair. Its a strong play to move in on the flop cause you have top pair and villian can be c-betting ak,aq,etc etc

  okay, can someone please explain something to me.
  I’m new to poker (trying to learn).
  why did negreanu go all in after the flop? if he didn’t hit the straight then he had nothing and the odds of hitting the straight weren’t too great, right?
  so why not check? etc?

  @b112895 he had top pair and open ended straight draw. antonious also played aggressive, betting the pot. it was a good time for daniel to double up or steal the pot. but unfortunately Antonious called, and daniel got lucky.
