  Anybody thinking it’s smart poker to call against a player known to play as tight as Barry does–not to mention the fact it’s Barry–isn’t as good a player as Eli. Even if he happened to be wrong in this instance.

  My guess is rather simple here.

  The pot size
  The Stacks size.
  Barry fires all three barrels with a Four, AK, KK, AA. By turn the pot will be over 75k.

  Eli is probably the only player on the table who can represent 4 reliably enough to have KQ, KJ, QQ fold.

  Checkreising here simply prevents Eli from making a sad fold on the turn. It completely depends on will player fire two or three barrels when bluffing. KJ is a hand you call two barrels, not three. Checkreis is something the cheapway out
