It’s a big money night on this episode of HSP, as Kid Poker Daniel Negreanu takes home two six-figure pots and Yukon Brad Booth buys into the table for a cool million. Watch Phil Laak get into a tense pot with the 21 year old wizard Illya Trincher. Both with ace queen, Phil Laak shows the kid his stuff. And Negreanu and the ultra smooth Williams hit a pot that tops 178k. And when Williams, Ivey and Negreanu square off, Kid Poker takes the biggest pot of the night.

“every decent poker player knows” that listening to your gut is what separates the great poker players from the merely average math nerds

AJ is Gabe’s foil. If Gabe were in the booth by himself it would be a much more one-dimensional show.

In the hand where Trencher folded the pocket tens..Gabe said he doesn’t really care how many chips Matusow has left. But of course he did. The size of the Matusow’s stack determines Trencher’s implied odds. If he has to call 7,000 and Matusow has only 70,000 less, he doesn’t have the implied odds to call with pocket tens against Jacks, Queens, Kings, or Aces, which Matusow was representing. Because he’d have to win the whole stack every time a Ten came on the board to break even.

If you see hit outs it’s 46% and that’s a lot more than the pot odds … so it’s an incorrect play sir.

    God i love this show!!

Definately the best poker around with the best line ups…

Daniel Negreanu and Antonio Esfanderi are the 2 best readers of the game imo!!

  • 2 February 20128:08 am hmstr

well, if you call with a king 6 suited, what are you really hoping to see? should think he was gonna play if he connected with it

  • 2 February 20128:39 am Mexxwel

I really don’t get why Gabe is so shocked that Ivey throws away the K-high flushdraw, seeing that it was the correct play.
