phil must a been ragin when he saw this back
@win9haha not necessarily. Durrr is known to be a very loose aggressive player, but if he is faced with a sudden re-raise all-in, he loses heart and gives up, unless he has a big hand. Raising for information wouldn’t have been a bad idea, in retrospect; re-raising all in would have won him the pot.
@TheSuvigy I don’t think there is a general rule for playing poker; it’s a game of situations, and what’s good for one hand can be bad for another identical hand. What’s certain is only one thing: smartasses who think they’ve got it all down and rank on the others are the saddest mouths of poker.
you guys are all morons, durr and ivey have the biggest stacks at the table, there’s not point in ivey raising the flop with the possibility of getting shoved on, its called deep stack play and pot control. on a board like that there’s way too many hands in dwan’s range that have ivey in bad shape.
@TheDude2366 It’s a read. I wouldn’t say that about anyone else but Phil Ivey. Sure, sometimes everyone makes a mistake, but Phil Ivey does not play like a donkey. Period. It happens, Phil actually thought about it.
@TheCrimson7272 No, but lets step through this had and you tell be ONE thing IVEY did right. He CALLS 3500 bet from the early raiser in early position with ace rag. then he CALLS Durrrs 28,000 3bet (did I mention he has ace rag?). Then on the flop he CALLS 45,600, then CALLS 123,000 on the turn. He made 4 amateur decsions. Then after the river, he could have made an all world call and looked like a genius. All he did was hope to suck out a flush like any amateur and Durrr played him as such.
@TheDude2366 because throwing 250k+ is easy as fuck right
Mostest Awesomest hand in the galaxy world everrrrrr. My GF has her periods,,,,,,,,,,,,
exagerate the vid title much?
poorly played by ivey. Ivey should have folded or raised, either the flop or the turn.
HATS OFF!
@RawMarketingSolution I ve seen Ivey not go all in With Kings Against Patrick Antonius….so I have something to back me up..Ivey was not sick enough to go all in because like I said he runs it only once…hes is not as sick as Durrr..
I wish Ivey shoved on the turn.
it’s funny when Phil Ivey folds the best hand, most people understand why he coudln’t call.
when Phill Hellmuth folds the best hand, he just gets mocked.
why’s this jack ass betting with king high?
@RunColorado100 If he didn’t go all-in because it was too much money, then that is known as playing ‘Under Rolled’…. Which is a cardinal error that the ‘greatest player ever’ surely wouldn’t be stupid enough to make. It’s more money to durrrr than it is to Ivey, so Ivey should use that to his advantage.
@gav800 I think he Flatted because he did not want to dust of all his stack to Dwan its a lot of money so maybe if he only had a 200 thousand Ivey would go all in and win..but there is too much money and you don’t want to lose it on a draw…so it was the correct play…if you don’t want to put all your money in that spot the you play it the same way ivey did it..going for a thought river decision…a Raise would have been good too and might have won it…remember Ivey only runs it once.
I wanted to see if Negreanu knew Ivey’s hand..
@TheMrGavoni Ivey didn’t re-raise because any re-raise to be effective would need to be at least 2x to 3x which would be pushing durrrr all-in by the turn bet. Without any pair and just a draw, it’s move value to just call and observe. any sign of weakness ivey would definitely call. With so much money behind he doesn’t need to shove allin. He gets more value calling any bet that isn’t allin to make the nuts.
that’s respect when the whole table silences. the table respect both ivey and durrrr. ivey wanted to call because of durrrr’s reputation but with TQK on the board and such aggresive betting all the way you can’t tell if he was trying to bet out the draw or if he was just bluffing. kudos to both. ivey’s insane read skills and durrrr’s unreadable bluffs. in the end a fold was the best play ivey could do, he called for the flush or ace not for a 6. you can ignore the 6 and the decision is ez.
@TheMrGavoni I agree. It’s really obvious he doesn’t have a made hand. Props to Dwan though. Takes huge balls to bluff $265,000 into the best player in the world.
All in by Ivey after the flop may have been the bet
@TheMrGavoni Very nice. People like you is the reason we play poker.

Why did Ivey keep on calling him, that is the question. He let Dwan understand that he was floating. Had he reraised the flop, he’d have taken it down.
