@DeusPayne A post-oak bluff has nothing to do with your example.
You COULD make a post-oak bluff in that situation you made up, but that’s not the definition of it. A post-oak bluff is when you bet small into a huge pot, trying to represent a really strong hand betting for value.
Post-oak bluff refers only to the size of the bet, not the board situation or the hands held by the players.

Its PAUSED you n00bs. when you pause it you have all the time in the world to deliberate, explain. these thoughts would just be instinctive feelings when actually playing, he only elaborates and enunciates them when actually pausing and explaining for someone. he doesnt need to ‘think’ or ‘say’ all of this to himself as most of it is explanation; he already knows that! so its not 6 mins of explaining for 2 min action. its 6 min to explain to u n00bs.

@Epicdownfall post oak bluff is when you and your opponent have a made hand but its not the nuts, and youre putting a guy on the same hand strength of you but you are representing the nuts. this allows you to steal the pot if your opponent folds but split it if he calls. e.g. board is AKQJ and you know your opponent has the 10, as do you, and the river will come say a Q and you make a big bet (not a value bet) on the river to try put him off his straight.

It’s funny that of all the videos made where the pros show super-high stakes sessions, Freedom25, 2 Months 2 Million, and here Phil Galfond…David Benyamine is always the guy they show. Obviously they don’t think David is much of a threat to figure them out. 😛
