Surely Ivey should have called, chances of another hand improving to better than his were very slim.

@RobertMOdell Calling in that spot would be extremely strong, Hoivold would probably shut down after that call. If Hoivold had AK, shipping the Turn would be the correct play.

@VicenzoV Yep, a lot more skill involved. You’ve got to have a good read on your opponent to pull that one off.

@Tehui1974 The best feeling is when you just know your opponent has missed his flush, the pot is huge, you have a small pair and he fires a pot-sized bluff. And you instacall.
“Ace-high…”
“Pair of 3’s…”

One of the best feelings in poker, flopping a set. Even better when there’s an ace on the board and somebody has raised preflop.

@CorneliusHooter are you being sarcastic or what? The way i see it the only way ivey can make the all in move is if he thought hoivold had 57 since there was not even a flush draw there.I still think he shouldve slow played it and just called the 37 k because at that point i doubt 57 would fold to an all in with how much was invested so far but maybe he wouldve

@smack9923 Right, because the only hand that’s beating him at that point is K,K, and Ivey obviously doesn’t think he has it when he goes all in. I think it’s the wrong move too.
